*Change Skincare Detox Cleanser: Whenever I am newly introduced to a brand the first product I always try is the cleanser, cleansers are the easiest products for me to trial as I almost instantly know whether or not the product will get on with my skin. This detox cleanser from Change Skincare has been a really great addition to my routine, as I am someone who is constantly dealing with breakouts using a cleanser targeted for my skin concerns is crucial. This cleanser contains Activated Charcoal which helps to deeply cleanse the pores alongside Multi Fruit Acids which work to exfoliate whilst cleansing, my skin always feels extra clean and smooth after using this cleanser but it never leaves my skin feeling dry or tight afterwards. It also contains a blend of Organic Aloe and Vitamin B5 to help soothe the skin as well as Tea Tree Oil which is well known for its anti-bacterial properties. All in all, this is a great cleanser that works well for my skin and has easily fit into my skincare routine. I like using this product the most in the mornings or as a second cleanse at night if I am removing makeup.

Acqua Di Parma Pumice Face Scrub: I know that physical exfoliants are a bit of a controversial topic but I personally like them and I find that my skin reacts well to them, as long as they aren't too harsh or too abrasive on my skin. One of my current favourites is this one from Acqua Di Parma, so much so that when I saw it was selling out I instantly bought a backup. I like using it in the shower before I cleanse and it does a really good job of keeping the overall texture and tone of my skin even and my breakouts at bay, I am someone who is prone to texture irregularities where my skin can feel quite rough in texture and this product really helps with that. It's also perfect to use pre-shave as it prevents any ingrown hairs from forming and allows for a closer shave.

[Editors note]: As I am in Australia this product can be a bit trickier to find, I think the best way to find it would be to search for it and see wherever you can get it shipped in your location. Highly recommend hunting it down if you are a fan of face scrubs like I am. Feel free to message me on Instagram [@theskincareobsessive] and I can try and help you track it down if needed.

*Medik8 Oxy-R Peptides: I mentioned above that I am constantly dealing with breakouts and when I turned thirty towards the end of last year I started to get pigmentation left behind from my past breakouts, this is why I am constantly looking at incorporating new products and ingredients into my routine to help combat this issue. One of the latest additions to my routine has been this product from Medik8, it contains a blend of ingredients that help to brighten and illuminate the skin to help with pigmentation and with continued use will help to even out your skin tone. I have been using it morning and night for the past few weeks now after I cleanse and tone and whilst I have been only using it for a short amount of time it has really helped to keep the overall texture and tone of my skin even. I love the consistency of this product, it's super lightweight and feels like water on my skin, making it easy to include it into my daily routine.

 *Avec Skin Bioactive Nutrient Serum:

Although I am someone with an oily-combination skin type my skin is easily prone to dehydration, I have also noticed that as I am getting older my skin is becoming drier, for the times when I know my skin needs that extra dose of nourishment I have been reaching for this serum. I either use it under my moisturiser or on top of it when I find that my skin needs that extra boost, it has more of an oily consistency to it but as I only need and use a couple of drops it absorbs beautifully into my skin and never leaves it feeling greasy or too shiny. It has really helped to keep my skin moisturised, especially now in Australia where we are in that transitional phase of the weather changing from cooler to warmer. I would highly recommend having a look at their website and the ingredient list as it contains a whole host of beautiful ingredients that all help to hydrate and nourish your skin.

*Dermalogica Biolumin-C Gel Moisturizer: This is one of Dermalogica's latest launches and as I am with most of Dermalogica products I knew I would love it, I normally use Vitamin C in a serum form as a part of my daily routine but it has been nice to switch it a bit and have in my moisturiser. I always like to include Vitamin C in my skincare routine as it's a well-known antioxidant and I like knowing that my skin is protected from environmental stresses on a daily basis, alongside Vitamin C this gel-based moisturizer also contains Squalane and Hyaluronic Acid for added hydration. I am a huge fan of exfoliation and it forms a huge part of my routine which is why I love this moisturizer in particular as it contains a blend of Phytic Acid and Pumpkin Enzymes that work to gently dissolve dead skin cells away to brighten and smooth. I use this moisturiser every morning on top of my serums and underneath my sunscreen and have loved the results it has given my skin, I really look forward to using it more and it's one that I know I will continue to repurchase.
