Taking care of the skin on my body has honestly only been something that I have started doing over the past year or so, in doing this I have really understood the importance of taking care of the skin on my body as much as I do my face. I have been lucky enough to of been introduced to a lot of great body care products, one of them being the Smooth Body Exfoliating Kit from Medik8.

The kit includes the Smooth Body Scrub, Smooth Body Mitt and the Smooth Body Lotion, giving you various options to easily incorporate exfoliating into your body care routine.

The Smooth Body Scrub contains Bamboo Particles and Natural Pumice that work to slough away dead skin cells, this helps to instantly smooth the skin and over time will help with the overall texture and radiance of your skin. Whilst being a physical exfoliant it also contains one of my personal favourite skincare ingredients Lactic Acid that works to break down dead skin cells through chemical exfoliation.

In my eyes having a product that offers both a physical and chemical exfoliant is getting the best of both worlds, it's a really great way to start incorporating exfoliating ingredients into your routine.

I like this scrub in particular as it has a creamy texture to it meaning I can apply it to my skin and really work it in, it adheres well to my skin and whilst it does do a great job of exfoliating my skin it never feels to rough or irritating. I like using it on my dry skin before I hop in the shower and have found that it also works really well with the included Smooth Body Mitt for an extra hit of exfoliation.

The Smooth Body Lotion is a lightweight body lotion that contains a blend of Salicylic Acid, Lactic Acid and Urea which help to exfoliate and resurface the skin, I am not a fan of body products that are too thick or too heavy on the skin and take a long time to absorb but that isn't the case with this product at all.

It feels like a gel-cream and absorbs beautifully without leaving any sort of residue on my skin, it instantly makes my skin feel smoother and more hydrated. I like knowing that whilst I am moisturising my skin I am also getting the benefits of exfoliation.

It also contains Moringa Butter which contains antioxidant properties whilst Shea Butter, Squalane, Hyaluronic Acid and Squalane work together to add moisture and hydration whilst strengthening the skin's barrier.

I like to use the Smooth Body Scrub a couple of times a week with the Smooth Body Mitt, the Smooth Body Lotion I have on high rotation and like using it daily to maintain the results, always wearing an SPF on top, especially when using exfoliating products.

Exfoliating forms a huge part of my routine and I can honestly say doing it regularly has kept my skin in tip-top shape, the products in this pack have made a wonderful addition to my body care routine and make it easy to incorporate regular exfoliation into any beauty routine.
