Daily Detox.

Our skin is exposed to a lot on a daily basis, whether your working from home like I am or you have a job in the city, things like pollution, air conditioning, smoke and change of temperature can really have an effect on the overall health of your skin.

This is why it's super important to incorporate products into your skincare routine that help to detoxify the skin and also help to protect itself from daily aggressors.

Continue reading to hear about the products I use to help protect and detoxify my skin on a daily basis.
Eminence Organics Stone Crop Oxygenating Fizzofoliant: Exfoliating is a big part of my routine, I find using an exfoliant in addition to my daily cleanser really helps to give my skin a deep clean and helps to speed up my skins renewal process.

Lately I have been trialing the Stone Crop Oxygenating Fizzofoliant from Eminence Organics and I like it because it gives my skin a really good scrub but without being too harsh or stripping, it also contains ingredients that help to refine and brighten the skin as well as protect it from environmental stressors.

It can be used on its own mixed with water or I like it mixed into my cleanser to give it a boost.

Cosmedix Detox Activated Charcoal Mask: A really good way to detoxify your skin is to use a detoxifying mask a couple of times a week, I like to look for one that contains Activated Charcoal and Kaolin Clay as those ingredients really help to draw out any impurities and dirt that have built up in your skin. I like leaving this mask from Cosmedix on my skin for 10-15 minutes and have found it to be really good at deep cleansing my skin but never leaves it feeling dry or stripped.

Philosophy The Microdelivery Detoxifying Oxygen Peel: For when I want my skin to have a deep cleanse and I haven't got a lot of time I instantly reach for this, In the box you receive two tubes, Step 1 (Black Tube) Contains Activated Charcoal which draws out dirt, impurities and toxins. I like to apply Step 1 all over my skin (avoiding eye area) and let sit for a few moments, then I follow up with Step 2 (White Tube) which is an Oxygen Foam Booster that you massage on top of Step 1 and it starts to foam up.

Step 2 contains a shot of Oxygen, Barley Leaf Extract and Chlorophyll which really helps to add radiance and revitalises the complexion. I leave both products on for 10 minutes and rinse off, I even find leaving the mask on for a few minutes just before I hope in the shower works just as well.

I especially like using this product the day of an event.

Clarins Detox Booster: An easy way to detoxify your skin is to add this Detox Booster by Clarins into your skincare routine, this one in particular contains Green Coffee Extract which helps to detoxify and add radiance to the complexion.

The booster fits easily into any skincare routine, I like to add 3-5 drops into my serum or moisturiser whenever my skin feels congested and I have been running around the city and exposed to pollutants.

Murad City Skin Overnight Detox Moisturiser: I like to reach for this product especially when my skin has been overexposed to pollutants, I noticed a significant difference in my skin after the first use.

It contains antioxidants that help to neutralise pollutants that have built up during the day, it also contains Vitamin C which helps to brighten the skin and even skin tone.

I love the texture of this product, it sinks in beautifully without leaving a residue and sits beautifully on top of serums and or oils.
