We all know how obsessed I am with cleansers by now, but I would say in the past year or so I have come a custom to a breed of cleansers that seem to be taking the beauty world by storm, the balmy / jelly type cleansers. These type of cleansers are normally abit thicker in consistency and work best when applied onto dry hands and massaged onto a dry face, then what I like to do is wet my hands and then gently start massaging my face, the product will then emulsify and then can easily be rinsed off.

Depending on the type and consistency of the product will depend on if I use it to remove makeup or use it as a second cleanse after makeup removal.

Here are my five top picks of the moment:

Nude Skincare Perfect Cleanse Omega Cleansing Jelly:
It's no secret that I love this cleanser, it features highly in my daily skincare routines. The cleanser comes in a tube and as soon as you massage it into your hands and onto the face it turns from a jelly type consistency into more of a balm like consistency, I really like to use this one to massage my face for a few minutes which will help with lymphatic drainage, it turns into a milk when mixed with water and easily rinses off.

It contains ingredients like Iris Root Extract, Orange Extract, Great Burdock Root Extract and Annatto Seed Extract. It's loaded with antioxidants and omegas that leave the skin cleansed, glowing and nourished. I like using this particular cleanser as a first cleanse in the morning or as a second cleanse after makeup removal.

Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Melting Cleanser 3 in 1 Cleansing Gelee:
I love using this cleanser for makeup removal, it's a bit thinner in my opinion to other balm / gelees that I have used before and spreads really evenly around the face, I love how quickly it dissolves makeup and just emulsifies with water and is easily rinsed off.

It contains Vitamin C, Rosehip Oil and Virign Cherry Oil which contains a host of Omegas (3,6,9) and antioxidants which will help to protect the skin from environmental damage, they will also help to brighten and nourish the skin.
I personally use this cleanser to remove my makeup.

Napoleon Perdis Balm Voyage Moisture Complex Cleanser And Makeup Remover:

This cleanser has quite a thick consistency, when applied to the skin it has a creamy oil type feel to it on the skin which makes it feel really nourishing, it works best when warmed between dry hands and massaged onto a dry face. The cleanser contains nourishing ingredients like Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Macadamia Seed Oil and Cocoa Seed Butter which help to nourish and hydrate, Raspberry Leaf Extract is rich in one of my favourite skincare ingredients Vitamin C.

I have skin that leads more to the oilier side and this cleanser works really for my skin but I can also imagine it would work really well for those who have dry or dehydrated skin as it feels really nourishing on the skin.
I personally like using this as a first cleanse in the morning or second cleanse after makeup removal, but it can be used for makeup removal as well.

Cosmetics 27 Cleanser 27:
This is the newest balm cleanser addition to my routine, and after only a couple of uses I was instantly hooked. It's quite a thick balm and what I learnt from using it is that you have to warm it between your hands and then massage onto the face, it works really well when giving yourself a facial massage. It contains ingredients like Sesame Oil, Macadamia Oil, Macroloba Butter, Centella Asiatica Bio-Extract, Bisabolol, Chamomile Extract, Bisabolol and Bamboo Extract in a Micronized Powder Form which all help to hydrate and nourish the skin. It also contains exfoliating properties which work to gently exfoliate the skin.

I like to use this as a first cleanse in the morning or as a second cleanse at night after makeup removal, The thing I love most about it is how quickly it turns into a milky gel when you add water and rinses off easily. And my oh my the glow it gives to my skin is addictive.

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm:
This product is LUSH! It's a real treat for the skin, it smells amazing and instantly turns into an oil when applied to the skin. It works really well at removing makeup but I like using mine as a first cleanse in the morning or as a second cleanse at night after makeup removal.

The balm contains ingredients like Moringa Seed Extract, Wild Sea Fennel, Vitamin E, Orange, Neroli, Mandarin, Jasmine, Cedarwood and Rose all help to balance, purify, rejuvenate and revitalise the complexion.
