For all you aussies out there (especially us melbournians) you will understand how cold it is at the moment, When the seasons change so does our skin so it's important that we make simple changes to our routine to help deal with the change of the season.
Here are my simple steps on how to make your skincare routine more winter appropriate for the colder months:
Exfoliation:
As our skin gets a bit drier in winter we can sometimes get dry patches on our skin, exfoliating your skin a few times a week will help to remove any dry skin on your face and body and will also allow the products that you use afterwards absorb better and work more efficiently.
Product Recommendation: GoldFadenMD Doctor's Scrub.

Hydration:
Any sort of hydration you can add to your skin in winter is a bonus, of course drinking lots of water helps but sometimes our skin needs a helping hand, especially if your like me and drink five cups of coffee a day. Including a hydrating serum in your routine is the quickest way to add an instant dose of moisture to the skin, a serum is lighter in consistency to a moisturiser which means it absorbs quicker and delivers all its nutrients deep down into the skin.
Product Recommendation: Ultraceuticals Ultra B2 Hydrating Serum.

Moisturise:
Now that you have done all the previous steps it's important to use a moisturiser as it will help to seal all of the nutrients you have put on prior, a moisturiser will also help to hydrate and nourish the complexion and prep it for makeup application.
Product Recommendation: The Moisturiser by The Clinic.

Mask:
For an extra dose of hydration a few times a week I like to use a hydrating mask instead of my night cream, this helps to add an extra hit of hydration the skin and make it plump and glowy by morning.
Product Recommendation: Sukin Hydrating Facial Masque.

Body Care:
In winter its crucial that we are using a body cream to help hydrate the skin on our body, our skin is exposed to the elements on a daily basis so it's important that we take care of it by keeping it hydrated.
Product Recommendation: Jergens Crema Hydrating Coconut Milk Rich Body Cream.
