Alpha-H Firming Peptide Body Oil:

I tried this body oil for the first time and immediately liked it, surprisingly it didn’t feel too oily on the skin, rather it felt more like a serum as it felt so velvetly once applied and absorbed beautifully without leaving a greasy film behind. It uses a blend of peptides alongside vitamins that help to nourish the skin, moisturize the skin and helps with anything from fine lines and sun damage. I pay special attention to drier areas like elbows and around my neck to help with lines and any redness.

Mukti Age Defiance Body Serum:

Mukti have some really beautiful body care products in their range and this serum is no exception, it truly does feel like an extension of your face skincare for your body, it feels lovely on the skin and has the most lovely and refreshing citrus scent that isn’t overpowering but still makes it feel luxurious.

It contains antioxidants and probiotics to protect the skin and helps with anything from texture irregularities and sun damage, it brightens the skin over time and offers a nice hit of moisture to keep your skin hydrated and plump. I love the way this serum absorbs into the skin and the versatility of being able to use it on it’s own or underneath an oil or cream, during the day I prefer a lighter texture body product and this one suits my skin very well.

Nécessaire The Body Wash Multi-Enzyme in Olibanum:

I know that when it comes to body wash and cleansers that they are the products that are on your skin for the least amount of time but I do still think that they are a very important part of your routine, finding one that is right for your skin type and doesn’t leave it feeling dry or tight afterwards is essential in setting a good routine up, whether that be for your face or for your body.

One of my personal favourite body washes are from Nécessaire, not only for their beautiful fragrances but when I use them I know that they are chock full of skincare actives that are treating my skin whilst they cleanse, there’s also something about them that feels really luxurious, they have a slight lather but it’s a lather that isn’t drying and my skin never feels stripped when I use them, if anything my skin feels more nourished than before I used them.

This particular one from the brand is their Multi-Enzyme products which contains Vitamin C to brighten the skin and Enzymes that lightly exfoliate, I use Vitamin C in my regular skincare routine for my face so I also like knowing that I am getting that same effect for my body.

LUI Body Polish:

Exfoliating is my favourite part of my routine, and in my opinion an essential step in any routine, exfoliating regularly helps to clear away any dull dead skin cells that can clog the skin and also helps to smooth and brighten the skin, exfoliating regularly will also help the other products you use absorb better which in turn helps them to work more efficently.

One of my favourite body polishes is this one from LUI, I like it because it contains a blend of physical and chemical exfoliation, the physical comes from finely milled volcanic pumice and the chemical comes from salicylic acid meaning that you can physically buff the skin and also leave it on for a few minutes to let the chemical exfoliant work its magic. This is especially good to use prior to shaving [the brand is well known for their razors and shaving cream] and before fake tan to prep the skin and especially good for removing any unwanted tan.

This polish has the brands signature scent which I am obsessed with, it contains notes of Iris, Vetiver, Orange Blossom, Lilac, Water Lily and Tangerine Blossom which lingers on the skin lightly and never clashes with my fragrance. I love the fragrance of their products so much that I want it in any form possible, their body cream also sits beautifully on the skin after it has been exfoliated with this product.

Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte’s Magic Body Cream:

I am a fan of the brands magic cream and knew that I would most likely like the body cream in the same range but I didn’t realize how much I would really like it, it truly feels like a treat whenever I use it, it feels so luxurious on the skin, immediately moisturizing and it almost blurs the skin to make it look more even which is a nice touch in a body cream. I use it all over but as it is so nourishing I pay attention to any areas of concern like elbows and around my neck to keep those areas that are normally drier an extra hit of moisture.

Whilst being very luxurious to use it also contains a whole host of skincare properties that help to firm and tighten the skin, caffeine brightens and energizes the skin, soybean extract moisturizes, rose extracts even skin tone and the brands magic 8 matrix contains a whole mixture of ingredients like camellia oil, vitamin c and shea butter to protect, brighten and deeply moisturize the skin.

If you know me personally or have followed me for a long time you will know my underlying love for this fragrance, it has been a mainstay in my fragrance wardrobe for many many years now as it’s such a great all rounder and a scent I can wear without even thinking about it. I love Fig fragrances and in this scent the Fig really shines, it smells like you are sitting underneath a Fig tree in the Mediterranean sun without the plane fare. This fragrance contains notes of Fig, coriander, pepper, blackcurrant, coconut, cedar and benzoin.

Acqua Di Parma Bergamotto Di Calabria:

I am a huge fan of Bergamot in fragrances, I somehow feels like it connects me to my Italian heritage and as I am also a lover of citrus scents, Bergamot always smells so fresh and zingy to me. Acqua Di Parma holds a big spot in my fragrance collection as it’s an Italian brand with Italian heritage and as I am half Italian I like having it around me. This is one of my favourite scents from them, it’s so fresh and light and perfect for Summer, even on those rare Melbourne days when the weather gets into the late 30’s I always feel fresh when I wear this scent. Maison Louis Marie No.13 Nouvelle Vague Perfume Oil:

I have just started getting into perfume oils, I like how portable they are and how they feel on the skin, they tend to sit closer to the skin meaning the scent can combine with your own body heat and chemistry making them more special in my eyes. When I smell this scent I immediately think of Summers as a kid being at the beach wearing coconut scented sunscreen, one of the main notes in this scent is Fig but the coconut and lemon are the ones that also stand out to me, it feels like a neutral scent that works all year round. This fragrance contains notes of Muguet, Coconut Waters, Lemon, Tuscan Fig, Tonka, Agave, Vetiver, Amber and Santal.

It has all the notes that I love, it’s citrusy, it’s spicy, it’s complex and it’s one that I wear but also like having nearby so I can smell it often as it reminds me of my Sicilian heritage. This fragrance contains notes of Calabrian Bergamot, Bitter Orange, Neroli, Yellow Mandarin, Petitgrain, Rosemary, Sumatra Benzoin, Labdanum and Musk.

Nécessaire The Body Wash Multi-Enzyme in Olibanum:

I have used the body washes from Nécessaire for years now and always enjoy having a bottle in my shower, they are on the pricier scale when it comes to body washes but in my opinion, they are worth it, especially if you want a treat and I always feel like it is a treat when I use them. They have a lot of skincare properties in them and the fragrances are always spot on, I personally like all of their scents but my favourite is Olibanum as it smells warm and luxurious.

Aēsop Eleos Nourishing Body Cleanser:

Out of all the body washes I am talking about today, this one is different as it’s more of a cream based cleanser, it’s extra moisturizing and has the most beautiful scent to it that stays in the bathroom hours after you have used it. I don’t have a bath so I tend to rely heavily on luxurious body cleansers when I want an extra hit of self care and this one fits into my routine beautifully, I like the hand cream in the matching scent and once they launched the body cleanser, I knew I had to have it in my routine and was not disappointed. This body cleanser contains notes of Clove Bud, Patchouli and Cedar Atlas.

Bronte Body Care Santal Body Cleanser:

I was lucky enough to of discovered Bronte this year and have fallen in love with all of their products, their body cleansers are especially an essential in my daily beauty routines. Their body cleansers are gentle on the skin and contain ingredients to hydrate the skin, antioxidants to protect and replenish the skin all whilst cleansing the skin thoroughly but gently.

Horace Bergamot Peppermint Shower Gel:

I discovered the Horace shower gels this year and have enjoyed all of their different scents, I think that whilst they are more expensive than your average shower gel they are also not outlandishly expensive for the quality and the beautiful scents. My favourite is the Bergamot and Peppermint as it’s really citrusy and zingy an is a nice one to use in the morning.

Salus Body Geranium & Juniper Berry Body Wash:

Salus is a brand that my household uses and loves, I first discovered it in a bathroom of a restaurant I used to frequent and it has been a staple in my shower ever since. This is a really nice body wash that lathers lightly and never feels stripping, my mum also really enjoys it and asks me to buy it for her for Christmas or Birthday presents so safe to say it’s a family favourite.

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser:

I have been through so many of these cleansers and it has slowly but surely become one of my true staples, I use it like you would a cleansing balm and by that I mean applying it with dry hands to a dry face and massaging in, slowly adding water to turn it into more of a milky consistency and then rinsing off. Unlike a cleansing balm it has more of a gel consistency to it which I personally prefer, it feels so gentle on the skin and feels like it is moisturizing the skin whilst it cleanses, it never stings my eyes and works just as well at removing makeup than it does as a skin cleanser, it does have a slight scent of rose but that doesn’t seem to irritate my skin. I always go back to this cleanser and I know it’s one I will always repurchase.

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Skin Soothing Hydration Mist:

I like the Jet Lag range from Summer Fridays and tried this mist on a whim as I am trying everything to help keep my skin hydrated, and I am very glad I did. I use in the mornings after cleansing and throughout the day to keep my skin hydrated, I like keeping one in my bag and on my desk to refresh my skin. It uses Glycerin to draw moisture into the skin, ceramides and antioxidants to protect and soothe the skin and a whole host of hydrating and nourishing ingredients. I like that it comes in a 50ml bottle as it’s easy to carry around but would also like to see it in a bigger bottle and that’s only a compliment to the brand as I like it so much.

Ella Baché Eternal+ Sculpting Serum:

I have been using this serum morning and night underneath my moisturizer and it has really helped to add an extra layer of hydration to my skin underneath my other products, it helps with fine lines and elasticity whilst adding radiance and evening tone. It absorbs well into my skin and sits nicely with my other products, with this serum I can tell a huge difference in the overall look and hydration of my skin.

Dermalogica Intensive Moisture Balance:

I have used this moisturiser for years and it’s one that I always fall back onto, it works well for my skin no matter what is going on with it and I always like having one in my collection as I know how well it works for my skin. It helps with skin barrier recovery and uses a blend of Hyaluronic Acid, Prebiotics and Aloe Vera that all help to keep the skin hydrated and calm, it absorbs well into my skin and I can notice a huge difference in the overall health of my skin when I use this product.

Aēsop Blue Chamomile Facial Hydrating Mask:

I discovered this product from a sample they gave me when I purchased something in their store, they gave me a few sachets and as my skin is so dry at the moment, I started using it and fell in love with it so much that I ended buying the full size. Essentially it’s a hydrating mask that soothes dehydrated skin, I tend to leave it on without rinsing but you can also rinse it if you prefer, it is a clear gel so you can’t actually see you are wearing it which is great if you want to wear it out or if you are just at home. I apply it over moisturiser at night and love the hydration it gives to my skin, I am so glad I was sampled it as now it’s a staple in my routine.
