A Month In Beauty: February.

Murad Essential-C Cleanser:

I picked this cleanser up on a whim at the section in Sephora which houses all the travel sized products and I am so glad I picked it up, you know when you buy a travel sized product and already consider buying the full size? Well, this was the case with this product.

It does have a slight foam to it which I actually like in my cleansers and somehow this one in particular doesn’t dry my skin out or leave it feeling stripped. I find it really good at removing makeup and is a nice cleanser to use in the morning as I feel like it wakes my skin up.

It also contains ingredients that help to neutralise free radical damage and environmental aggressors which is something I look for in my beauty products.

*Dr Natasha Cook Concentrated Spot Destroyer:

In the last month or so I have really struggled with breakouts, especially around my chin and side of my face. I feel like this product came into my life at just the right time as it has been an absolute godsend, first of all it comes in a rollerball which is perfect for me as it is easy to travel with and keep with me on the go.

Beyond the travel-friendly packaging it’s what’s inside that excites me the most, the formula contains a 28% blend of Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Acids which really help to clear breakouts and congestion which is one of my biggest skin concerns.

I know skincare products are different for everyone and everyone gets different results but I actually noticed a huge difference in the appearance of my breakouts after only a few hours of using this product. I don’t actually know what I did before this product and know for a fact it will be a mainstay in my beauty routine.

At night after I have used all of my serums I just roll this over any breakouts and it works an absolute treat.

*Vestige Verdant Infinity Eye Serum:

Eye products are something I have been changing up a lot lately and this one from Vestige Verdant has been a constant product in my daily routine, I like the fact that it has a metal rollerball applicator which feels really cooling to apply but also helps to de-puff my under eye area.

I also like the fact that it is a serum consistency and absorbs really well making a beautiful base for makeup to go on top of, I have found it has really helped to brighten my dark circles and has smoothed out any fine lines that are starting to pop up.

*Origani Immortajell Wrinkle Diffusing Mask:

I have been playing around with some of the products from this range and one of my favourites has been this mask, it contains AHA’s that help to exfoliate skin alongside ingredients that help to keep the skin hydrated.

I have found it to be really good at smoothing out the texture of my skin and keeping my dehydrated skin hydrated, I have used it a couple of times before going to events and it has left my skin with a radiant glow.

*Aspect Dr Redless:

This month my skin has become quite sensitive and I have had some redness throughout my t-zone, this product has really helped to tone down any redness and sensitivity. I like that it has an oily consistency to it as I find it instantly soothes my skin.

I always like to have this on hand and it will always be a mainstay in my beauty cupboard.

*Philosophy The Microdelivery Peel:

Where I live in Melbourne has been SO humid lately and that combined with some traveling equals my skin being super congested, whenever I feel like my skin starts to breakout or I have issues with texture I instantly reach for this product.

I start with Step 1 which is the Vitamin C/ Peptide Crystals and massage the product into my skin for a minute or so and then follow with Step 2 which is the Lactic/Salicylic Acid Activating Gel which I leave on for 2-3 minutes and rinse off.

I find my skin responds instantly to this product and I instantly notice the texture of my skin is much more even, by the next day my skin looks more radiant and I find the products I use absorb better.

It's one I always have on standby just in case.

*Jane Iredale Dream Tint Tinted Moistuiser SPF 15:

Lately I have been opting for tinted moistuiser over foundation, I have recently started using this one from Jane Iredale and I love it because it covers any redness and evens out my skintone whilst still letting my skin shine through, freckles and all.

It contains an SPF of 15 which is a bonus in my books as I always like to use base products with SPF to make sure my skin is well protected.
